Transcription: Whammy Bar Gospel R&B Lesson
I found this video on Youtube and thought Xeryus did a nice job introducing guitarists to using the whammy bar in the Gospel/R&B style. This is a very popular technique but can be overdone easily; so like anything else in your bag of tools, use it sparingly.
The video is mostly in free time in a freestyle performance in the key of D major. Most chords are diatonic with a few exceptions. Try applying these ideas to any key for additional benefit!
